ABOUT

Alma Langshaw is a Spanish/English Director, Producer and Writer based in Miami, Florida. Having lived in 9 countries across 6 continents, Alma has developed a unique perspective and love for storytelling. After graduating from the University of Kent, in the U.K., with a Bachelors in International Business, Alma worked in Digital Marketing and Business Strategy for a diverse roster of clients in English, Spanish and Portuguese.

Alma worked to merge her love of film with her knack for business by incorporating videography and creative photography into her work, as well as attending film production classes at the Second City, Chicago, and video editing classes with New York Film Academy. This led to working as Camera Assistant on the short film Don't Look Up (2020) by Andrew Pringle, now streaming on Amazon Prime.

Since, Alma has delved deeper into film, working on the feature film The Mobking (2022) with Smoke Stacks Studios, video editing documentaries for A Jokes Flick and Wahl St. Productions, and working as Producer's Assistant for the upcoming feature film Know Me (currently in post-production). Additionally, she is a member of the Miami-based film collective, White Elephant Group.

More recently, Alma worked as Producer and 1st Assistant Director on the short film The Cherry Picker; as 1st Assistant Director on the feature film Fears (currently in post-production) and as 2nd Assistant Director on the feature film Fallen Fruit, premiering at Miami Film Festival. Furthermore, Alma has directed and produced commercials for Viva Casa Co. and Project Makeover (in association with AppLovin).

Always working with a greatly talented crew, Alma provides full-service, results-oriented filmmaking and commercial work for all your storytelling needs.

Platforming the voices of underrepresented communities and raising awareness for social issues and mental health is her upmost priority, and she intends to achieve this through the art of filmmaking.
